    Hi,

    I just submitted a suggestion/ticket to extend Natural Earth to be used for mapping according to UN standards. There are some minor differences in what you can present as disputed boundaries and territories that the database could be enhanced with.

    In addition, it would be nice if one could join to country statistics from UNDP, World Bank or UN Statistics Division and have the countries displayed according to UN standards (see the ticket for more information).

    Any comments?

    Well there are already 4 different types of adm_0 in Natural Earth, to give people choices of different interpretations of national boundaries so I think this could be done with a 5th adm_0, for the UN approved choice
