I believe that it would be most helpful if users of Natural Earth data would post their Styled Layer Descriptor (SLD) files here as examples, and as a tutorial for others. I am very new to Natural Earth, GeoServer, and the GIS community as a whole. I was unaware of how much power and control over how layers are displayed relies on SLD files.

One good resources for beginners is the SLD Cookbook, which can be found on the GeoServer web site. This introduction was most helpful in furthering my understanding of styles.

I would propose that a forum be created for SLD examples, hints, tricks, tips, and tutorials as they relate to the Natural Earth data set. I feel that this would further the exposure of this wonderful resource.
