Definition Variables

Hi,

First of all, congratulations on the fantastic data.

My question is as follows: is there any place where the different variables are defined? Just to give an example: in the railroads data there are variables such as “category”, “natlscale”, “mult track”, etc. Some of them I can more or less guess what they mean, but others are unclear. Do the variables come with definitions? If so, where can I find them?

And then I ask the same question. Are there any organized metadata related to attribute fields in the shapefiles?

I have seen these posts :
